Comfort me, iron maiden

I breathe with a puffed out chest.
And smile as a spike
Digs between my ribs.
I feel the warmth soak through my clothes
And stick to the ends.
I squirm a little.
Try to dig it deeper into my lungs
For a second I think I can see the light
In this dark box.
I'm good at that much.
It makes me a little happy.
