Thanatos' love.

Death and I sit across from each other
Like old friends
Who chased each other round sandy playgrounds
Too shy from the passing of time
To jump straight into conversating.
 I stare into her eyes.
She's prettier than I remember
Her skin used to look so cold
And sharp
Now it's flush with warmth.
"You can come back you know"
I don't know what back means,
but I know I'm tired.
Maybe I can spend the night.
One last time.
